The black-and-white photos compiled in this illustrated book were taken during a "home shoot" at CHLOE ROSE's flat near Konstanz in September 2021. The location was her relatively spacious, quaint flat in the attic of an older building. Only the existing light coming through the windows was used for lighting. Furthermore, none of these photos have been retouched in the sense of fundamentally improving flaws or imperfections.
Behind "Next Steps" is the desire for a new visual language in erotic photography. We have deliberately distanced ourselves from the typical poses of the Playboy era in order to create space for authenticity. The photographs are intended to allow the viewer to share in a private moment that, despite its staging, appears completely natural. The focus is on CHLOE ROSE's individual natural charisma.
