In 2023, a private space for this series opened in a studio in the heart of Aarau. The black-and-white photographs by KSENIA shown here thrive on the interplay of natural daylight; flaws and imperfections have been deliberately left unretouched.
The "Next Steps" project rejects clichés. Instead of the same old pin-up aesthetic, these images seek beauty in the everyday and the spontaneous. The aim is to create photography in which the staging takes a back seat to personality. It is about honest eroticism that celebrates the character of the woman without resorting to familiar poses – an intimate portrait that feels like a chance encounter.
