The black-and-white photographs featuring MARTA that characterise this illustrated book were taken between 2023 and 2025 during various shoots in simple apartments and in the studio in Döttingen, Aarau and Grenchen. The soft window light was the only source of light. Each shot remained free of retouching that would smooth out imperfections or erase traces of the moment.
With "Next Steps," I am searching for images that show less posing and more truth – shots that allow closeness and exude intimacy. The familiar pin-up and Playboy gestures that we have seen countless times before were deliberately excluded from this series. Instead, the photos should give the impression that you are accidentally witnessing a private, almost everyday moment. The fact that these moments are carefully staged should, in the best case, remain hidden. The focus is on the women themselves – their energy, their personality, their inner glow – anchored in an erotic context.
