The colour photographs with CHLOE ROSE collected in this illustrated book were taken in 2017 in a hotel in the centre of Konstanz. Both natural window light and artificial studio flash were used as light sources.
Furthermore, none of the images were retouched in any way to remove blemishes or imperfections. My goal is to create less staged, more honest and intimate photographs. The all-too-familiar pin-up and Playboy poses that we have seen countless times before should be deliberately avoided. Instead, the images should convey the impression of participating in a spontaneous, private, almost everyday moment. Ideally, the fact that the scenes are actually staged should not be noticeable at all. The focus is always on the women themselves – their personality, their charisma, their essence – embedded in an erotic context.
