With this photo project, we enter a special space together – a space between myth and the present, between primal feminine power and modern self-perception. At its heart is the archetype of the Bacchante – that wild, ecstatic, untamed female figure from Greek mythology who, as Dionysus' companion, roamed the mountains at night, dancing, screaming, loving, destroying, giving birth – full of life, full of contradiction, full of truth.
This project is inspired by C.G. Jung's analytical psychology, in particular his thoughts on the "Dionysian principle" – Eros, ecstasy, connection, physicality, emotion. This archetypal power is not an outdated image, but reflects something timeless within us: emotional depth, sensual feeling, the wildness behind the facades. In a world full of control, filters, role models and self-staging, we want to create a counter-image together – a space for the real image of women, raw, archaic, beautiful in their inner contradictions.
A woman of today who lives as a kind of modern Bacchante and carries the mythical spirit of the Bacchantes into the present would be a fascinating, passionate and perhaps also challenging personality. She embodies the ecstatic, wild, untamed side of femininity, expressed in sensuality, creativity and transgression.
