During a lengthy professional stay in Hamburg in the Corona year 2020, the black-and-white photos compiled in this illustrated book were taken during two photo shoots with SNOWFLAKE. The location was a furnished, simple business apartment without any particularly original furnishings. The soft window light was the only source of light. Each shot remained free of retouching that would smooth out imperfections or erase traces of the moment.
With "Next Steps," I am looking for images that show less pose and more truth – shots that allow closeness and exude intimacy. The familiar pin-up and Playboy gestures that we have seen countless times before were deliberately excluded from this series. Instead, the photos should give the impression that one has accidentally witnessed a private, almost everyday moment. The fact that these moments are carefully staged should, in the best case, remain hidden. The focus is on the women themselves – their energy, their personality, their inner glow – anchored in an erotic context.
